Abide in My Love (John 15:9)

"As the Father has loved me, I have loved you. Abide in my love." - John 15:9

Lord Jesus, let us not just read these words but experience them.

Let us come to know what it truly means to abide in Your love.

Let us not look to the past, or to the future, but to Your eternal love in this very moment.

Let us stop striving to earn your love, but rather to simply reach out to receive it.

Let us stop trying to fill ourselves, but rather to empty ourselves to make room for You.

Let us experience joy in suffering and peace in chaos.

Teach us to look to You in times of trouble.

Teach us to remember Your faithfulness in times of doubt.

Teach us to quiet our minds in times of anxiety.

Teach us to call out to You alone in times of fear.

Teach us to abide in Your love.

Amen.

Do not be anxious about anything,

but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,

present your requests to God.

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,

will guard your hearts and your minds

in Christ Jesus.
