O everlasting God,
With the heavenly angels we declare
that You are holy, holy, holy.
You alone, Lord define holiness.
Apart from You, there is nothing holy.
What a marvelous mystery
that You command us to emulate your holiness.
How can this be?
In our broken and feeble nature
how could we possibly be holy as You are holy?
There is only one way.
By the blood of Jesus,
You have made us holy.
The incarnation,
the crucifixion,
and the resurrection
of the God-Man
has earned holiness for the entire human race.
You have revealed to us the path leading to perfection.
Help us, Lord, to walk in it.
Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect
