Jesus, once again deeply moved, came to the tomb. It was a cave with a stone laid across the entrance.
“Take away the stone,” Jesus said.
“Lord, by now he stinks,” said Martha, the sister of the dead man. “It has already been four days.”
Jesus replied, “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?” - John 11:38-40
----
Our world says that "seeing is believing."
But Jesus says "believe and then you will see."
If Christ could raise the dead man Lazarus after 4 days in the tomb, why do we limit His power to resurrect things in our lives?
Like Martha, we like to make excuses and rationalizations as to why our situation is beyond repair.
But Jesus's reply will always be the same: "simply believe, and then you will see My glory."
Truly I tell you,
unless you change and
become like little children,
you will never enter
the kingdom of heaven
Matt 18:3
