Working with Angels (Psalm 103:20)

Bless the LORD, O you his angels, you mighty ones who do his word, obeying the voice of his word! - Psalm 103:20

There is an entire world that exists beyond the perception of our 5 senses.

Just as we cannot hear radio frequencies with our naked ears, we cannot see spiritual realities with our naked eyes, unless God enables us to.

Paul tells us to "walk by faith and not by sight," and to focus on the things above, and not on the things below (2 Cor 4:18 & 5:7).

Elsewhere he tells us that the "The mind set on the flesh is death, the mind set on the spirit is life and peace." (Rom 8:6)

We do not have to see angels to know they are all around us.

What are angels?

They are beings created by God to accomplish His will. The word angel literally means "messenger."

Angels serve God, not man. But when man aligns himself with God, angels align themselves with man.

Angels obey the Word of God.

They are like soldiers waiting for the command of their superior. Until they hear a command they will not act.

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue" (Prov 18:21)

By speaking the Word of God, and by doing the Will of God, we have the ability to take part in the authorization of angelic activity. Angels are dispatched to accomplish God's will. When we align our words with the Word of God and align our actions with the will of God, we are aligning ourselves with the angels of God.

We must watch our mouths making sure no vain words leave them. If only we knew the power our words had, we would surely be speaking very differently.

"Your Word is Truth" (John 17:17)

When we speak God's Word, we speak Truth. And when we speak Truth, we speak God's Word.

Someday our eyes will be opened to the consequences of every false and meaningless word we have ever spoken - "for nothing is hidden that will not be made manifest, nor is anything secret that will not be known and come to light." In that day we will regret not taking this life more seriously and using it for good.

But we do not have to wait until that day. Today we can begin accomplishing God's will and taking part in His divine plan. By aligning our speech with God's, we can know that we are partnering with the mighty angelic forces, restructuring the orientation of this fallen world toward heaven.

"The words I speak to you are truth and life" - John 6:63
