It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick - Matt 9:12
Lord Jesus, You are the greatest healer the world has ever known. You opened the eyes of the blind, opened the mouths of the mute, opened the ears of the deaf, told the lame to walk and the dead to rise. Your Light drives out all darkness. Your Life extinguishes all death. Your Truth drives away all lies.
Heavenly Father, in our pride we do not recognize our deep need of healing. Our world focuses only on the needs of the body and the mind, but we are spiritual beings. Without recognition of the Spirit we will always be fighting a battle we cannot win. We are sinful, fallen creatures in need of healing at the deepest level. The only thing keeping us from Your perfect medicine is our reluctance to acknowledge our brokenness.
Without You we are incomplete. But with You all things are possible. We know that perfection is our destiny when our souls reunite with You.
O Physician of Souls, reveal to us our shortcomings so that we may pray earnestly for Your healing. Do not eliminate our struggles, but be with us in them and it will be enough. Use our weakness to demonstrate Your strength.
Amen.

Great prayer for this week. Thurs. is the National Day of Prayer, and we need that every day as a country for sure.
I love looking at the context of scriptures and this one puts Jesus among tax collectors, sinners and the Pharisees. And after verse 12 He says, 13 Go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.’ For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.”
Lord, we humbly join You in calling the sinners so they will see your Mercy and be healed. We pray for spiritual healing in our country and all over the world. We are declaring our desire to see spiritually blind eyes opened and humble hearts saved. And, BTW,…
The word I hear is Open. i want to be open to a future that is filled with the love and forgiveness of our compassionate God My prayer is to be open to the presence and action of the Holy Spirit in my soul and be healed by it. Anxious for Pentecost
